I started painting when I ceased my creative endeavours making handmade books because I suffered a catastrophic hard disk failure which stored my book making templates. I had enjoyed making my books for over a decade and it was a wonderful opportunity to expand my interest in watercolour painting. I have been painting for a few years and it is a fascinating exercise to try and feel your way through expressing a creative side with this media that is so volatile and infinitely interesting. The scope expands for discovery as papers and paints all perform differently as well as the brushes! I sell my paintings in my Etsy store where I had a presence for over a decade with my books and greeting cards, but over time, I may eventually retire that platform. In the meantime , Big Cartel is a platform I can use too to display my artwork, and find a way of connecting with customers.
